Written by Scott Poynting and Victoria Mason, this article addresses the increase of Islamophobia specifically in Britain and Australia. Even though the terroristic events of 9/11 occurred in America, Islamophobia surged in many English-speaking countries such as Britain and America. Though the xenophobia of different ethnicities started from East/South-East Asians, it eventually grew to focus more on Muslim people.

This article was quite saddening to realize that though the world has become much more radical and accepting of diversity, there are people who have still yet to accept immigrants and people who are Muslim. This article is still very relevant because we should learn and understand the reasons for this discrimination in order to prevent the spread of racism and hatred. This way, we can increase the inclusion of diversity.
